It is school policy, agreed by the school's Governing Body, that pupils are expected to wear school uniform at all times.

The school lays great emphasis on the wearing of school uniform as this fosters a sense of pride and belonging in the school.  Children chosen to represent the school must ensure that they are wearing full uniform, otherwise the privilege will be withdrawn.

The Uniform is:

Navy School Blazer with CJS Logo

Plain white shirt/blouse 

Grey or Black skirt, pinafore dress or trousers

Grey or Black Tailored Shorts – N.B. Sports Shorts are not  permitted

School Tie

Navy V Neck Jumper or Cardigan

Blue Gingham Dress

White Socks

Grey, Black or Navy Tights

Sensible all black footwear. (Heels of more than 3cms are dangerous and are not allowed) N.B.  (boots are not permitted) N.B. (skinny jeans/trousers are not permitted)

PE Kit

Plain white shirt

Navy blue shorts 

Black Plimsolls/Trainers

Navy blue Tracksuit/Sweater (for winter outdoor games)

Children taking part in sport teams will be provided with the appropriate kit.

Canvey Junior School Blazer, jumpers, cardigans, ties and P.E. kits (including bag) can be ordered from the School Office.

No jewellery may be worn at school with the exception of stud earrings which must be removed for P.E.  either before the start of the school day, as staff are unable to remove them, or by the children themselves. No responsibility will be taken by the school for any jewellery which is brought on to the school site.
